About Earth University<\/h3>\n

The Escuela de Agronom\u00eda de la Regi\u00f3n Tropical H\u00fameda (School of Agronomy for the Humid Tropical Region, EARTH)<\/strong> was founded in Costa Rica in 1896 with the solid aim to train specialised agricultural engineers in the region. Close to one hundred students graduate every year under the slogan \u201clearning by doing\u201d<\/strong>. They have all acquired values in social and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n

Knowledge transfer<\/h2>\n

We regularly organise training workshops on good plasticulture practises for the entire EARTH community. We explain the advantages of using plastic film in agriculture and we promote its proper use and collection after use, with special emphasis on our sustainable ranges.<\/p>\n

We have an international team that presents actual case studies of agricultural plastics in the field. They also share crop data focusing on the different geographical areas.
