New packaging 100% recyclable and +60% circular
Our team, clients and suppliers have all worked together to ECOdesign a new packaging, produced based on a single type of plastic, 100% recyclable +60% circular.
The result is this DoyPack Bag that is more sustainable and allows us to enjoy the LACASITOS from the LACASA Group, as it preserves their delicious flavour. At the same time, it promotes resource circularity and reduces CO₂ emissions.

What was the challenge?
To make the traditional non-recyclable DoyPack Bag (because it has polyester in one of its layers) into a 100% recyclable package and that also contains over 60% recycled material.
How did we do this?
We replaced the polyester layer with a single polyethylene structure containing a percentage of recycled material.

We have achieved through ECOdesign a single-material two-layer Polyethylene (PE) structure that makes this package 100% recyclable.
The materials that we use also come from circular polyolefins. In other words, these are resins that have been recycled and certified at the end of their service life.

Layer 1 MDO – PE
We reformulate the PE material structure so that it can be processed with MDO (Machine-Direction Orientation) technology:
